I downloaded some avi files but i am only able to view the motion picture. The sound does not seem to have been decoded. Is there a codec I can d/l for Quicktime for OSX that will let me hear the sound as well as see the image? Please help...thanx

QuickTime doesn't support MP3 audio tracks in Divx files. VLC is supposed to play MP3 audio in Divx files, but it doesn't do a very good job. It's the best I know of, though.

Get it here. Please note that it's only at version 0.3.1b20020512. (Is that the longest version anyone's ever seen? Do you reckon they just got to the 'b' and decided it would be funny if they let their cat jump on the number pad?)

doesn't Windows Media Player play Avi files? i just downloaded the latest OS X version. i haven't installed it yet, when i do i'll let you know how it goes.
