Avi to dvd program for macbook pro

hey

any one able recommend a good program to turn my downloaded films etc from avi to dvd and burn them so i can watch them.
preferably a free one and one that wont leave a watermark on the disc

Burn but if your DVD player has avi playback you should just be able to burn them to DVD and watch.
