AVI to MP4 Converter

Hi all, wondering if you can help me....

Looking to convert some AVI files into MPEG-4's, but having trouble finding a good program to do it, anyone know of a good program that will do this? having a bit of financial troubles atm so ideally a program that is free

Do have QT Pro and have tried using that but i find it seriously affects the image quality

iSquint should work well for being free then. I suggest getting VisualHub when you have some money though. It's the best US$23.22 I ever spent on a video conversion program.
