AVI to MPEG4, Possible?

I have several .avi files that I would love in my iTunes movie section. Possible? Can I convert these files to MPEG-4 or is there a way to 'force' them into iTunes? I have the .avi component and they play flawlessly in Quicktime 7 Pro. Thanks!

I use "iSquint"
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ipod_itunes/isquint.html

It allows conversion from multiple formats as well as resizing. Enjoy!
