Make a new User in Users & Groups, logout and into new User, same problem there or not?
If not you have problems from within your normal User Account, can be fixed.

Sorry about the belated reply, Have been OS for a while and have not logged on to this site.

Unfortunately I cant recall what the issue was, but I'm fairly sure it either resolved itself or my son fixed it, as in terms of IT, I'm a good welder. 🙂
