Web browsing, Sporting News Today, Dish Network, and gaming. That takes up the majority of my iPad time. Working from home has really cut down on my iPad usage.

-Email
-Web browsing
-Displaying chord charts for guitar during practice at church
-Downloading and watching iTunes U videos
-App interface mockups with Blueprint
-Use it with iRig for trying out an idea quickly on guitar
-Twitter
-Facebook
-A dedicated music streamer that I leave on at my desk while using my notebook
-Reading (Kindle for books, Pulse for RSS feeds)
-Occasionally using music apps for fun
-Checking out photos I just took
-Checking the weather
-Playing games

But I mainly bought it to use for iOS development (testing). The other uses just kind of cropped up over time.

On day 1 when iPad was released I probably only used it for web browsing mainly because Email wasn't that great on 3.2 since I have a couple of mailboxes and the unified inbox didn't come to iPad until 4.2. Also there weren't a ton of apps available to iPad in the first few months. Now it has plenty and is still growing.

i just got mine a week ago, and ive found myself doing the following-

-lots of websurfing... lots and lots
-email, again, lots of email
-notes in class
-lots of remoting into computers (logmein app and rdp- mainly for work/diagnosing/fixing comps at work)
-xbmc
-fruit ninja. and lots of fruit ninja. way to much fruit ninja.

I do a bunch of things: watch podcasts, abc player (dont have this channel on my cable),netflix, itune movies, gaming, read books, create spreadsheets on numbers, email, browse the net, more gaming, read blogs, more gaming, browse more net, watch youtube, etc. I am on my iPad 6-8 hours a day. I use my iPhone all the time, too. I would watch on iPad: movie, podcast, while I am browsing the net on my iPhone. Right now, I am watching tv and listening to my iPhone (tech news today) and entering this on my iPad.

Useful for flying too.

I use the ipad extensively for mail and browsing, but there's a great aviation app called ForeFlight that is very handy for pilots. It allows a great weather briefing, and it can file a flight plan in a jiffy, even sending your email account a notification that the plan was filed and when. In addition, the 3G allows us to keep up with traffic when traveling on the road, and even as bad as AT&T's coverage is, there was no problem getting good 3G in the northeast or around any major city or Interstate in the east, and the Google traffic is great!

Love browsing the internet in bed (My Laptop stays on the desk).

I much prefer doing emails on the iPad than my iPhone, and even my laptop.

Not sure if this is destroying the iPad inside, but when its not being used, its on 'Picture Frame' mode.

FB
Twitter
Edit Docs
Web Browsing
Remote(control my iTunes on my Macbook)
Remote Desktop both to my Macbook & PC
Sports(love the NBA app to watch the scores when I'm not able to tune in to the Bulls game)
Bible
Xfinity for controlling my Comcast cable and scheduling the DVR

The only email that's been set up on my iPad is the one for me and my fiance's upcoming wedding date. I'm sure once we get the invitations rolling that will become a busy inbox for us.

Watching movies? No, it's too slow for that.

In what way is it too slow? I watch movies on it all the time, either rips loaded from iTunes or on Netflix. I've never had a problem with either except once in a while my network connection slows and Netflix gets all blocky. That's not the pad's fault, though.

I also read books with it all the time... my Calibre library is on Dropbox and Stanza can access so all my ebooks are available for download wherever I have service.

E-mail and web browsing are the other things it's great for. I don't game on it much.

Take attendance (i'm a college prof)
Keep grades on it (attendance and grades with Numbers)
I finally use iCal because the ipad is handy and instant
Shopping list
To do list
Apps to buy list
Surf web
Check email
Watch movies (either ripped or from Netfix Watch it Now)
News/weather
Google maps (driving directions, etc)
Angry birds
Pinball
I host a trivia night and have my questions on it and a spreadsheet for keeping the scores
Dropbox for class handouts
Instapaper for reading during idle times in my office
Showing photos/vids to others (it's just so easy to share)
Steaming music from my home computer with Audiogalaxy
I just don't print out much since i got it :)
Reading (i've stopped buying printed books for the most part). I love ebooks

That's just a quick list off the top of my head

1. Alarm Clock and bedside weather/photo display
2. Web browsing
3. Netflix
4. Wikipedia
5. Ambient noise system
6. Google maps
7. Gaming
8. Reading in iBooks
9. Email
10. Watching news and comedy videos while using my desktop for something else

I use these apps multiple times a day -

Email
Web Browsing
Netflix
Air Video (watching videos stored on my Mac)
ABC Player
PBS Player
Numbers (keep track of blood glucose tests)
Notes (sync notes with iPhone and Mac via Gmail)
PocketBible
Calendar
Bluefire Reader (use to read ebooks from local library)
Kindle (main ebook reader)
Zinio (subscribe to 3 magazines)
ReaddleDocs (use to view files stored in DropBox as well as use to view content captured on web)

Basically the iPad has become my primary computer and I only use my Mac for Quicken and H&R Block for taxes.

I'm always on high alert for more diabetics. All the free glucose-tracking apps for the iPhone were awful, I'll have to take a look at ones for the iPad. Anyway, back on topic, I use it for general surfing, news, and Twitter.
