One of the main reasons I got a cMBP over an rMBP gone.. I knew it was coming but I didn't think it would happen so soon.

Slightly annoyed, not terribly though.

Still would like to somehow turn this cMBP into an rMBP though.

True on all accounts

I would be using institutional hardware and not my own and I think they cut you a deal if you recently bought a firewire box and want to switch (I don't say upgrade because I think it's more of a lateral move).

And I should have posted this in the Digital Audio forum for sure. If a moderator sees this would you mind moving it?
