If your work absolutely INSISTS on running an AV, look at ClamXAV.

Thank you, but we have only been told about these options. Not sure if anyone has some experience with any of these options.

All AV's will slow down your system. ClamXAV is the least of the offenders, yet very effective. Highlly rated by an independent/respected testing institute. You can show your employer the following evaluation:

I have used Sopho, Kaspersky, I paid for both of them. Kaspersky is absolutely incompatible to Big Sur.Don't not put this on your computer it could tear it up. Sopho is not a full anti virus security. However, Sopho can really handle a lot of serious virus's, ransomware and save you a lot of time without you going to look for it. these are my most recent ones. I have use the all the others accept Panda. They all was good but Bitdefender kind of leave lasting power in my mind. However, I going with Surfshark anti virus and their Vpn. I'm not doing any trials. If after a while I'm not happy I'm changing to Nords Vpn.

Anyone out there that can share either positive or negative experiences with Avira Anti-Virus Software (Free Version) and Big Sur? I've been asked to install as part of my VPN requirements and am reading the following so far:

Any updated info would be very helpful.
Don't do free anti-virus. Even though its a good one free but you are compromised. All your data, email, pictures are being sold how else can it be free. They just popping in and out of your computer, wifi, webcam.
