... I gave it a second shot, the i5 with glas.tr bc there was some promo, i think it was 35% off?. I attempt to install it, and it was nvr perfect, i can never have it dustless... I gave up... I just went back to ordinary sgp crystal and optics... After a pack or two of those, i stopped purchasing the sgp...
How is it harder to install a glass screen protector? It's easier than a floppy one in every way. And if you couldn't get it dust-free, are you attributing that to a design law?

If you have trouble with dust, the floppy ones are better because you can lift an edge and remove the offending particles one by one with tape. With glass, it's over once you drop it down unless you've got the knack for removing them without damage. I've done that multiple times and reapplied until perfect, you just have to be careful. That and a wet install helps.

I find the wet installs and screen protectors btr bc you can reapply. The glass always seems to have dust underneath no matter how careful you are. Taking off the glass is just hard... And after too many reapplies, the glass isn't as parallel to the screen.

1.) The first thing I do when I install, whether floppy or glass, is that I go to an area that is entirely free of clutter with still air. Sometimes it's hard to find at home and I end up doing at work. 9 out of 10 times that keeps particles from settling.
2.) I rest the glass cover very gently. I can usually place it carefully enough to keep it from sticking much. I can then reposition until alignment is perfect and there's no dust. I don't press unless I'm absolutely certain there are no particles. The process might take a few minutes.
3.) I find more difficult to pick dust from a floppy sticky surface than a glass surface.

Oh well. To each his own.

Well you know what they say about dissatisfied customers ...

Anyway, I can't even stomach the thought of spending $70 on a screen protector. $70? Really, people?

You're Doing Something Wrong

First thing I do now on buying a new phone is install Glas.t. The latest Glas.t.R Nano are so slim you can't tell they're on. Absolutely superb I would never and will never rock a phone without one.

I have a mixed opinion on the Glas.T. I used a GLAS.TR on my old iPhone 5 and enjoyed it. However, my girlfriend has had both the .T and the .TR and both were scratched and destroyed in a matter of weeks. Now we both have 'naked' iPhone 5s models that have flawless, unscratched screens without any screen protector. So I really do not think they are necessary.

Man, I cringe at the trouble you guys went through with screen protectors. I don't have what it takes to deal with it.

I am glad the iPhone 5 screen is pretty robust for me. I had an iP4 and after 2 years I got two tiny scratches. It bothered me when I scrutinized them, but for normal use I never noticed them. So I decided to live with the iP5 without a screen protector. So far: no scratch.

My phone is due to be replaced this year, so I am happy with my choice: the joy of buying a device and use it as is, rather than having to worry about installing a glass screen protector and then having to worry about that protector sticking out and scratching, breaking. It would drive me nut because when I start scrutinize things I can't stop.

I bought the spigen tough armor case as well as the Glas.t and I had no troubles with the screen protector. I've even dropped the my 5s several times and never had any troubles. I did have a question or two before buying both products and the spigen folks wrote me back right away. I would definitely contact them since they'll probably refund you are at least try to assist.
