AVplayer Hd for ipad just restarts

Hi, I was hoping someone maybe able to help me
I have been using AVPlayer HD for past two years on various iPads.
I recently purchased the new ipad Air and installed AVPlayer

When I am watching 720 mkv tv series I seem to watch one programme fine, then all of a sudden the app just restarts and begins playing the program from the start with no sound

I have never experienced this problem on previous iPads or app version

I have re-installed app but same problem

Has anyone experienced this or over come it

Until the problem is fixed, try either nPlayer or remuxing your MKV's into standard mov / mp4 / m4v files with, say, Subler. The first might (albeit not guaranteed to) work. The second is guaranteed to not cause any problems in any player but requires a bit of additional effort / time.

It MAY be specific to your particular MKV file; this is why other people haven't run into the problem.

As stated, your best bet is remuxing.

That's pretty normal with a paradigm shift; for example, one-core to dual-core, 32 to 64bits etc.

I am having exactly the same issue with ipad air and avplayer hd strange, that there is still no information or fix on this one.
It happens almost on every video I watch. Pretty annoying
