Good evening -- Just purchased my first Apple computer since the Apple II GS! I am seeking a replacement for AVS Video Editor that is native to the Mac.

As of right now, I feel like there is not one and I will be forced to run AVS through Parallels (which I'm not violently opposed to, but is not ideal). Currently my workflow with AVS requires the following:

1) Import an intro and outro .mov file encoded in h.264
2) Import a flv file
3) Cut a short segment out of the flv file bracketed by the intro/outro
4) Overlay a transparent PNG watermark
5) Export as an iPad friendly h264 encoded .mov files

For those of you who have an iPad, you can see the result by looking in the StocktwitsTV section of the Nasdaq OMX application. The short stock specific clips are the product of this work.

With that in mind, I've looked at plenty of things: Handbrake, iFunia, Avidemux, AVS in Crossover, etc. nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions for software that might work? Am I going to be forced down the road of Final Cut Express? I know it doesn't natively support flv import, but I believe there are plugins that will enable flv import.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
