Title says it all. I have tried cellular off, on, no difference I still get this irritating beep every 10 seconds for first 5 minutes of every run. I have my play list dowbloaded to the watch so I dont need to bring my watch.
How do I make this stop?

The one native to the watch. Also tried Nike run app with the same result.
it is like it is telling me to bring the phone until 5 minutes has passed then it stops and don’t come back for the remainder of the run.
I see no message on the watch to give me a hint, besides the red phone symbol and does matter if I turn off/on cellular or WiFi.

Hmm. I'd be surprised if it's reminding you to get the phone, as that's not something that it ever does. I walk away form my phone all the time with no beeping. I'm guessing it's something else.

The fact that it's happening with two different apps (Workouts & Nike Run Club) makes me think that it's not something to do with the app itself.

Aside from the possibility that you have some other app installed that does this (alert you when you walk away from your phone), the only thing I can think of is that somehow your workouts aren't registering as started & you're getting the Start Workout Reminder. For testing purposes, you might want to go into the workout link in the watch app on your phone, and uncheck Start Workout Reminder & End Workout Reminder (and also Running Auto Pause since you're in there) to see if that solves your problem.

Could it be the built in heart rate alerts? Notify me if over XX heartrate.

Is the watch new? Maybe it wants the GPS of the phone to learn your stride first.

I checked and heart rate is low when I start so can’t be that.

Mandimac, clock is 3 months old.

But why only first 5 minutes of every run?

What kind of beep is it? Does anything show on the screen? I'm wondering if it's auto pausing for some reason (are you doing a warmup routine that it thinks you've stopped running?)

But why only first 5 minutes of every run?
I have no idea, I was just giving you ideas for further research. Perhaps you could see if you have any of the requisite complications that cause the cadence. I don't use the pacing section but it's worth investigating. Maybe it gives up if you aren't keeping up with the pace it thinks you need to.

There is nothing on the watch, except flashing a red phone icon.
That is why I can't figure out what it is and why only the first five minutes. No warmup I have done that already by the time I leave the house and start running.

Next time I run I will try to have the phone with me for the first 5 minutes and see if I still get the beep.
