Should it be a requirement that an app creator has to offer app support?
I have purchased apps that only give the name of the creator and no more.

I don't see Apple policing or enforcing support of apps
Not sure how it would or could be done
But I have been wrong before

How would you define "support"?
Providing contact info?

i recently bought two app that had issues, one now has a contact page, so i was able to request support, the other just has only got the name of the creator and nothing more, so as i was unable to get support with an issue i requested and received a refund. It is not the cost, but if others have an issue and get a refund Apple may react.

So, if I am understanding what you are saying...
What you want is for Apple to require the app developers to provide contact information?
That is different from saying Apple should require them to provide support for the app, at least in my mind
Requiring a contact email or URL might be feasible, but requiring ongoing support (?) would create a lot of issues to resolve IMO

as you say, my question was perhaps a bit ambiguous, contact info would be enough so you can at least say 'something is wrong' so the developer would learn more quickly of an issue than by finding out that people had either requested a refund or left a poor revue.
