two success stories:

Saturday my partner had palpitations. We used the AW to record an EKG and found atrial fibrillation that led to a visit to the ER and cardioversion tomorrow. Having EKG strips to show the ER was great. Turn on the arrhythmia detection feature.

Last summer I had a bad fall and the fall detection would have been a life saver if I hadn't been able to get up .... turn it on.

These two features can actually save lives! And neither of the events was predictable. Turn them on.

good to hear and yes, totally agree esp on the fall detection, it can happen to anyone, regardless of age ...

Interesting. My wife has had a Series 6 watch for about 2 days and found that her blood oxygen readings get down into the low 80’s at night sometimes. We’re now wondering if this is trouble.

that's low if it's accurate. one of the things that can cause this is sleep apnea. talk with her doctor.

My wife had a fall on her bike (loose gravel spot), and by the time we got her and the bike picked up, her watch was already calling emergency services. We had to frantically cancel the call. So it actually works. Quite difficult to fake a fall, though.

I am in the hospital right now. My Apple Watch ecg showed artirial fibrillation this morning. My heart rate was going back and forth from 68 to 190. So it’s a good feature to show you need to see a doctor. The only downside it it can’t tell you are in afib if your heartbeat is over 150. So I had to run it a couple times. I may have to get shocked tomorrow if I don’t get to normal rhythm by tomorrow morning. So staying overnight at the hospital to be monitored. So it’s a feature to help you purchase the watch.

That's an amazing feature that could truly save lives.
