Thanks everyone for the help for my previous noob questions.

Had two more questions was hoping someone knew the answer to:

1) Can an AW be paired up with an iPhone that is not logged into an AppleID?
2) Could music that I manually have added to that iPhone be synced to the watch and played without the phone?

Thanks!

1. Yes, it can, but many features will not work obviously, iCloud features require iCloud to be logged in. ;)

2. Yes, music can be synced and played disconnected to the phone, but there is a limit to the amount of music (2GB in older models, 8GB in more recent ones I believe) that can be stored directly on the watch.

Thanks, in regards to #2: if Im in the #1 situation, would #2 still work if the songs are physically on the iPhone?

Meaning: if the songs are physically on the iPhone (not iCloud or Apple Music) will they sync up to the AW even tho the phone/watch are not logged into an Apple ID?

Thanks!!

I'm not 100% sure, but it should work, since it's just an option using the Watch app on iPhone. I've synced music using local iTunes files on my iPhone to my Watch. I don't have Apple Music.

I think newer AW’s have 32GB.

They do. But older Apple Watches with 8GB total were only allowed 2GB for music. I think the limit is now 8GB with a 32GB model.
Oh, I didn’t know how that worked. Did a little googling and see what you mean now. Good to know!
