My Airpods and Studio 3 headphones with the W1 chip are paired with my iPhone 7 Plus and iPad Pro 10.5 both running iOS 11.2 beta 1. They work great. My AW Series 3 GPS+Cellular is running watchOS 4.2 beta 1. Since receiving the watch a week ago, it does not show the Airpods or headphones, as a choice to listen to music, nor can I pair it to them in the conventional way. Have rebooted the watch but that hassn't helped. Filed a bug report with Apple. Anybody else? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Bit strange, I’m on the same betas as you, also using Beats Studio 3 Wireless with the W1.

I didn’t have to do anything at all for the Watch. When I got them, I switched them on and got the expected pop up on my iPhone to pair them. It did have a message saying I needed a software update or could continue with limited functionality. I just put that down to the beta because they work as expected.

When I start from the AW3 a little pop up asks me where I want to play the audio, with the Beats as an option, or only option if I’m out of the house. In the settings of the Watch they’re also listed in the Bluetooth section.

Really that’s how it should be. You shouldn’t have to do anything extra with the W1.

Try unpairing them from your iPhone and re-pairing them, if you’ve not, always the first thing to try.

Was the Studio 3's paired to the iPhone 7 Plus and Watch PRIOR to installing iOS 11.2 Beta 1 & WatchOS 4.2 Beta 1 ?

If so unpair from BOTH, reboot BOTH.

Pair with the iPhone first while on the same connected WiFi network (preferably your home) with Apple Watch also being connected (should automatically). See if that works.
