I know EVERYONE always says this after a software update, but I am definitely not imagining it--my Apple Watch is much snappier after today's update. Both native and non-native apps are loading quicker and the UI is quicker as well. I also noticed that clicking the scroll wheel sends me to the app honeycomb instantly. There was always a slight pause before. I am fairly certain it's not just because of the restart. I have done hard reboots on my watch before and not had it react this way.

I've heard people on the beta say the same thing. Although Apple added some improvements to Maps, I think that these speed issues were the main thing they were addressing. Its a real point of contention for most of us using the Watch (as I'm sure it was for you, too).

I can't wait to try it out for myself! I finally got home so I could have the watch on the charger (I hate that it had to be on a charger to update). It feels like it's taking forever to install...

When I do a cold boot, it can take about 4 seconds to load settings for the first time. Now it takes 2 seconds. Noticeable difference but won't please many. I am almost certain to believe that most will say it is no faster. I like the complications and those all load fast for me and those that take a few seconds load fine after the first time.

I was able to update Apple Watch #1 to 2.2, but I am now having difficulty pairing watch #2. When I attempt to pair it to my iPhone, my iPhone says this watch needs update 2.2 before it can be paired, but when my iPhone attempts to get the update for watch #2, the wheel just keeps spinning - "checking for update"! What do I need to do now? Help!

Edit: Finally got it to work by pairing watch #2 w/my husband's iPhone, then downloading update>unpairing>then pairing watch #2 w/my iPhone. Whew! At least this worked!

Just installed it myself and I concur. It is considerably faster now. Not just a little. Repsonse is very prompt now! I'm happy for that!

I am on 9.3, but when i go to update to os 2.2 it says "Watch OS 2.1 Your software is up to date"... What gives???

Odd. Maybe wait a bit first as when they roll this out I think the notifications go staggered to manage DL traffic.

After that is the standard procedure to back-up, unpair and repair?

I've been updating mine for at least 1.5 hours now (and it still says 34 mins remaining).... Is it normal for it to take this long???

My iPhone and iPad took 5-10 mins to update today....
