With the announcement of the new Apple Watch Ultra 2, was there any mention of updates suitable for Scuba Diving?

I’m wanting to replace my AW6 due to battery life and some other minor things, and I’m trying to figure out which new Apple watch to get. I scuba dive but also track all my fitness activities on my watch. I’m disappointed Air Integration hasn’t made it to the U2 as that would make it a no-brainer for me, but without that I’m not sure which way to go. I thought I saw some mention in a MR article that there was some improvements for water activities but I didn’t see what those improvements were. What have I missed?

I do have small wrists though, which makes the Ultra less attractive for me. However, I do like the longer battery life of the Ultra. I currently don’t have cellular on my current series 6, but thinking I would like it on whatever watch I get next.

Thanks.

I bought a dive watch computer, Aqualung i470tc, to get away from the subscription model and have the air integration option.

Even so I'm tempted by the Ultra 2 as a backup computer/chronometer and as an everyday watch.
