AW Ultra Action Button and Crown Stickers/Options

Never thought about it, but yeah, I'm curious to see how many stores pop up on AliExpress selling little stickers to cover the action button. Back when the S3 dropped, a lot of people started selling stickers that covered the crown and made it whatever color you wanted since so many people hated the red dot. There was even a website for it I think. I don't know that you can get a sticker to stick for years to a contoured surface like the Action Button, though. We'll see if anyone solves that problem.

I love the orange action button. Would never want to cover it up. 🙂

Yes! Was just about to set up the same thread myself. I find the orange accents ugly so looking for stickers myself. Let’s keep this thread alive and hopefully someone starts producing them soon. I’ve emailed dBrand, welcome to other sticker/skin company suggestions to contact.
Hoping something comes up too. The orange isn’t as bad as I thought it might be originally, but would still prefer a different color, or no color at all.
I do have a couple of paint pens in varying thickness, and was thinking if worse comes to worse, I can try to paint the action button, and perhaps even the orange circle on the crown. But I don’t want to try it quite yet. Hopefully someone will come out with some “stickers” that will work.

Would painting your Apple Watch Ultra impact your ability to trade in your watch for full value in the future with Apple?
I don’t know for sure, but would guess that it would impact it.
That said, you may be able to remove the paint with some gentle solvent, but I don’t know if it would also remove the orange underneath it.
That’s why I’m hesitant to try the paint for now.

I was thinking about something like this before the apple ultra came out, but the orange really isn't super bright.
Ok, I got a bit impatient. I have some Matt black automotive vinyl wrap, so I cut a piece, stuck in on the watch, heated with a heat gun to get its shape (scary), then used a sharp x-acto knife to cut around the button. Not bad for my first try, one corner is a little messed up, but for now, I think it will work. It will be interesting to see how well it sticks over time. Maybe if I get a chance, I’ll see if I can fix that corner (I may have to start over).
If you do this yourself (you can buy a few sheets of automotive wrap on Amazon)- be Very Careful with the heat gun. You don’t want to overdo it and crack the screen, or somehow damage the watch.

Hmm only thing worrying me about trimming it with a knife in situ is the button itself is sat on a rubber grommet/housing for waterproofing purposes. I'd be worried about nicking that.

Thanks. Yes, I was concerned about that, but you don’t have to cut very deep at all. You are basically scoring the vinyl wrap. As long as you are careful, should be good to go.

Hey Guys i got an Solution i have made Stickers out of high Quality car wrapping vinyl, they fit perfectly.
I got them Applied 8 weeks now and they are still looking new i think they will Last really long especially because its Car wrapping vinyl which last 5-10 years.
And they are also precisely precuted so you just have to stick them on the button/no extra cutting needed.
