Thinking about downgrading to a smaller sized AW, the ultra is fun but in the end i hardly make use of the 2 day battery life.

Yes i sleep with my watch on, but the sleeping metrics do not serve me in my daily life.
I record all my cycling sessions via Strava.

I feel the Ultra is a bit too bulky and heavy, it bounces around on my wrist when i skateboard or paintball, feels a bit uncomfortable to be honest.

Anyone else moving from their Ultra to a regular AW again?

I downgraded and did not regret it. My son now owns my Ultra. Too big and bulky for me. I don’t miss it.

Definitely felt like an implement strapped to my wrist rather than a watch. Brought me back to the days of strapping one of the old Garmins on.

Definitely downgrading. I miss using all my bands, and the Series 9 is now factually way better than the Ultra 1 all things added up. Also found I didn't use cellular much, so I went from Ultra 1 to the basic $429 midnight series 9 and I'm ecstatic. Can't wait. It'll go with my blue titanium a bit too.

I don't care about durability when AppleCare+ is $3.99/monthly ad infinitum.

Could you please elaborate on this? I thought all 44/45mm bands were compatible with the Ultra. Is this because the strap length needs to be longer or shorter on the Ultra?
I meant, almost no bands go with the chunky beige titanium color. I want the thinner watch back with a more neutral color like midnight or silver, etc.

The ultra just looks ridiculous with normal bands. But yes, they all fit.

I use the Ultra with a silver Milanese and I think it looks great… YMMV
