Can anyone recommend a third party who can replace the battery in an Original Apple Watch? Mail In?
Aftr 3.5 years the battery seems to be "underperforming." But according to my local Apple Store, the battery passes all the tests and they won't replace it though that is specifically what I asked for ($80 out-of-warranty).

UfixIbreak will replace the Apple Watch battery, but I don’t believe they allow for a ‘Mail in’. But here’s the thing, they don’t use OEM battery parts from Apple, they use third-party’ parts of lesser quality, which can pose to be problematic at times. Also, the cost of replacing the battery/labor in a first GEN watch would surpass the actual value the watch itself, so take that into consideration as well.

Well, I'm pretty sure I cannot get an Apple Watch that has good battery life for $80. Ultimately the watch will be a hand-me-down. Not much of a gift if it won't stay powered for 10 hours. So, a new battery. I had hoped to get an Actual Apple Battery but they refused. So I am trying a 3rd-party route.

I would just pay the 80$ to have Apple replace the battery.
Of course, that was my first choice. I made an appointment and went to the store. They took it, shipped it off and called 4 days later saying that it had returned. No charge, no replacement, still within spec. Per above, wouldn't stay powered for 10 hours.

I hate that so much. That is why I always do advance exchange where they send me the replacement first. Doesn't really help you, but I'm angry for you.

That’s just ridiculous!!! Sorry you had to deal with that.
