AW3 cellular w Verizon grandfather unlimited

anyone with a grandfathered unlimited plan activate a AW3 without losing their plan or do you have to give that plan up to add the watch
 
You have to give up your gUDP. I’m just not going to activate my watch, and Verizon loses out on another $10/mo.
