I am kinda in the silver vs space black boat. I want the Milanese loop but I'm concerned with the space black version and micro scratches. I know they both get scratched however, the silver can be polished up I hear and the black cannot. Anyone want to share their experiences?

Really, it's up to your personal preference, but IMO the gold looks spectacular. I went with the SBSS because the gold is not available right now, but if all had been in stock, I think I'd have chosen the gold. That said, the SBSS is gorgeous.

I think the SS and SBSS are both beautiful watches. Just depends on the look you want to have, and band choices. Also the issue of scratch protection vs ability to polish is certainly a factor, each has their pros and cons. I say pick the look you want and try not to worry about the scratching part.

I went with the SS with link bracelet (I bought my link bracelet in early '16 and have since upgraded my watch twice and kept using the link). The combo looks striking, matches my wedding band, and just goes with everything. I do admire the SBSS and sometimes think about getting one, but doubt I ever will.

I think all three choices are interesting and have merit. The SB looks amazing with high contrast sports bands, e.g. yellow, as well as Darth Vader with a black Milanese for example. The gold is cool because it's new and looks good with the olive color straps for example. But, at the end of the day, the regular SS is the most versatile and looks good with by far the widest variety of bands. If that's important to you - as it was for me - then there's an answer.

As others have said, it’s your choice of what you want for a color. It’s all about how you carry yourself and what you’re comfortable with, band pairing, the customization is all about you. If you want durability, the black stainless offers that with the DLC coating, or if you want almost any limitless band pairing, the regular stainless would be the most suitable option.

I bought SS Gold and Alum Space Grey. After 10 days, I'm thinking of returning the SS Gold and keep the space black. It goes well with all sorts of bands and still can't justify the huge price difference between them in Canada ($450)

I got the gold and it's absolutely stunning. (Preordered the 40mm and just returned it and waiting for my 44mm Gold). Just thought, since I got time to actually choose another one... I'm just thinking that it's easier to pair bands with the Silver model. But... It looks so... Normal? I'm unsure about my feeling on this matter lol.

Space Black has the Diamond Like Coating which is what makes it black, I think gold might too. Much more resistance to scratches over the standard SS. Thats what I'm going with.

I prefer the Space Black as I use it as a running watch and the regular stainless looks (IMO) a little silly in that context. Downside is definitely the lack of bands, but I recently got a Link Bracelet so...probably set a while.

Shouldn't you be asking yourself this?
Why did you choose to immediately give a non-response that seems to invalidate the rationale behind the question?

The OP clearly wants to know the opinion of others.

Gold over silver because gold goes better with my skin tones vs silver according to the color pros. Gold over black because for me (a female), the solid black looks too masculine to dress up enough for anything other than a work out. The black also makes it look bigger since there's less break up in color between the watch display background and the black case.

If I were purchasing it only for working out, I would be tempted by the black because of how awesome several of the nylon sport loops look with it. But I want it for:
- working out
- casual
- business casual.

For formal dress up I'll still wear my favorite (and only) dress up watch, an antique passed down.

I think i've made up my mind and i'll stick with my Gold 44m SS-order and not change it to anything else. Just felt that the Silver one is easier to dress with, but i don't care, the gold just is too stunning. Had the Space Gray aluminum series 3 and i'm just kinda tired of that color.

Thank you for your inputs everyone. :)

This is my third silver SS (S0, S3 and S4) and I always do silver because it can easily/quickly be polished back to perfection. The others, while more resistant to scratches and gouges in the first place, CANNOT be restored if/when they get scratched.

The gold is great. It changes color depending on the light. You'll enjoy it.

I had a silver S0, Space black S2, and now a Gold S4. I love the space black, but the new Gold is my favourite, it’s just stunning and matches my skin tone better than the silver.

My SBSS was extremely durable, not a visible mark after 2 years. I’ve tried on different combinations of my existing bands and I think both SBSS and gold are pretty easy to pair for a dressed up or casual look.
