So the AW5 was my first titanium one which I have loved the weight and toughness of this watch. I previously had aluminum versions which I liked as well but overall prefer the titanium.

My question is I’m thinking about upgrading yearly in the future, especially with this version to AW 8 (I’m upgrading because the battery isn’t doing great and I like the screen and faster charging) - I’m assuming it doesn’t make much sense to go with the titanium versions due to issues with resale value?

Thanks in advance

It does make sense. I’m upgrading every year to another black titanium myself. Buyers on eBay prefer titanium/SS models due to scratch-resistant crystal, so they are willing to pay more.

Resale value is quite high IF you don't use Apple. Their trade in value for the Ti is insultingly low.
As someone who bought a Ti from eBay, used but still within warranty, buyers are willing to pay a premium for the better materials. Added bonus that, unlike the Hermes, the Ti offers tangible benefits as opposed to cosmetic ones.

I have a titanium S5 that I would like to sell but the prices on swappa are ridiculous. Is ebay that much better a market for the titanium watch?
