You have a setting to disable notifications during workout.
I hadn't noticed the path was so different.
To be honest, I don't see the difference between an S5 and an S6. It looks very similar.

Now, this comparison holds only limited value as the two runs were not recorded simultaneously. GPS accuracy can vary greatly on the same route due to the weather/location and number of available satellites.

An excellent point which people often forget to consider.

Are you guys aware of preventing specific notifications from being displayed during activities?

I don't think there's anything more granular than the broad Do-not-disturb On / Off. I do have my family contacts set to not be blocked by DND but haven't tested and don't recall if it works.

If you're referring to @NickYanakiev 's latest post, note the distances at the bottom left corner - 5.1km vs 6.0km.

I returned my Fenix3 back when it was new because it would often grossly overestimate distance - even when wearing it and another Garmin at the same time.

Yes that's the broad Do-not-disturb On / Off to which I referred.

The question was "Are you guys aware of preventing specific notifications from being displayed during activities?" - which I interpreted as asking if there was a more granular control of individual apps being subject to or exempted from the workout DND setting.
