AWSS 7/ Mac unlock

I just picked up a Graphite SS 45mm, It won't connect to my Mac for the unlock feature, I am trying to unlock my Mac with my new watch, any help appreciated.

Have you got Bluetooth turned on your Mac?

I'm actually having a similar issue with both of my watches since upgrading to Monterey. It is very inconsistent with both my AW6 and my AW7. Make sure it is checked in system preferences.

That is where the Issue is, after checking the box this message comes up, To allow your Apple Watch to unlock this Mac, your Apple Watch must be unlocked.

According to Apple.

If you're having difficulty getting Auto Unlock to work, try these solutions:

• In Security & Privacy preferences, deselect ”Use your Apple Watch to unlock apps and your Mac,” then restart your Mac and turn this setting back on.
• Make sure that your Mac isn't using Internet sharing or screen sharing.
