Anyone have one of these bad boys and give an honest review? Also, is there any store that sells them, so I could try it out before a possible purchase? Lastly, pros/cons vs a regular notebook. I'm just a student trying to figure out my best option for next year.

Don't have one yet so I can help you there but I can tell you I've had one on order for 5 weeks and I still have no idea when it will arrive. I also keep getting the run around from them as to when it will ship. If you’re thinking about ordering one I would consider a few things: 1) they were announced in the beginning of 07 and, supposedly, it took the first people who ordered them 12 months to receive them, 2) they are still not selling replacement pens for them so if you lose the pen you may have an expensive paperweight 3) rumors, for what they're worth, say that Apple will announce an Apple tablet soon and Apple usually has an item in stock shortly after it’s announced 4) if it takes you 1-12 months to get one I can only imagine how long it would take to fix it if you had a warranty repair. Needless to say I'm very hopeful Apple will announce a tablet soon. The more competition the better.

As to a tablet versus a regular notebook: It's really a personal preference and you'll get a lot of different opinions here. I happen to like tablets because of their flexibility. You can always connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse if you need it and it's easier for me to take notes on. Tablets weren't around when I was in college but if they were I would definitely have preferred one to a laptop for taking notes in class.

If I do ever receive it I'll be sure to post a review on this site. Hope this helps.

Delivery time from ordering is about 4 - 6 weeks now. AFAIK other Wacom pens will work with the ModBook.
Due to a problem with Bluetooth you will need to use a dongle with the ModBook.
