Hi All: here's my dilemma I'm currently using a 2009 13 inch MacBook Pro which is still going fine after hard drive and ram upgrades. I'd like to get a 15 inch MBP with 16gb of memory (just to boost the odds that this machine will last me as long as my 2009 machine). I've had my eye on the B&H 15 inch 2014 MBP going for $1799. I see that it comes with Parallels (which I was going to buy anyway). I wanted to know if anyone was aware of any additional B&H deals or cash back offers. I know that Discover + Apple Pay allows for 10% cash back, but the B&H app currently doesn't accept this combination. For normal transactions, Discover offers 1% cash back, but I was hoping to boost this amount if possible. Thanks!

That's an "OK" deal, I've seen better on that Mac of late. A good resource: http://prices.appleinsider.com/ - it's a great place to start, and clicking though on some deals gets an additional discount. I have purchased that way from AI in the past. Keep an eye on Adorama as they often offer deals with free AppleCare - a $350 gimme that's worth patience, and AI keeps track of those deals too. FWIW, it was $1599 about two weeks ago in their Deal of the Day...

Also, no offense intended - that "deal" you're alluding to doesn't included Parallels Desktop but, rather, a 6-month trial of Parallels Access. I saw the same deal too over the weekend, and I buy from B&H too - it's a pretty decent price on that unit...

Thanks for the handy link. However, for this model with the dedicated graphics card, B&H is still the best deal.

Agreed, big time. I have the previous version, and it's a nice Mac. Also bookmark/check 9to5mac.com - they post daily deals as well and have site-specific deals, and it was their site that alerted me to that B&H deal a couple of weeks ago. But, a cheaper Mac in hand is a better deal than paying full price...

I tried the same thing, ha. I ended up putting it on my AMEX for the points. 1% is pretty low for rewards, do you have another CC you could use? And from my research, the B&H deal was the best possible deal on that computer. It really is a fantastic deal. I've been seeing people selling these machines used for $1700 - $1800.

It did go down to $1599 for Black Friday Deal Zone, but it was a very, very short sale.

Update: I took the plunge and bought this Mac. I'm pretty excited to get it. I didn't find a better cashback deal than 1%. However, it was still a really awesome deal, especially considering all of the alternatives.
