Too bad they don't ship to Canada... the base 15" 2018 with the 512GB SSD comes out to the same price as the base with 256GB up here, and that's including the tax we'd be hit with at the border. Oh well.
I’ve bought a camera lense from them before, Toronto. I was able to prepay customs thru them.
Their website mentions international shipping, I could be wrong, but I think the only problem is fewer shipping options and no free shipping outside the US.

So all you folks talking about the Apple student discount?? Are you all students? Because I'm seeing where you can simply SAY you are a student and get the discount. No judgement if that's what some of you do, I'm just curious

I'm not a student, but have a daughter who is. But it didn't matter. I just got on the Apple education web page and ordered it using a gmail.com email address. Picked it up in store. Nobody ever asked if I was a student or even asked for a .edu email address

I work at a teaching hospital and I qualified under the umbrella. Before you had to state where you went to school/worked and I provided the hospital name and I was able to order through the EDU store. Its changed since then it seems and you can just ask for the edu discount now.

The education discount covers faculty and staff as well as students.

Must be nice. Tax free weekend was just this past weekend here in Texas but unfortunately, laptops are excluded.

Probably because laptops are the most common $1000+ item that consumers buy on a regular basis, especially online. ($1000 is the online purchase threshold where you are "required" to report and pay the sales tax on your taxes.)
