[B]Mac OS error -36[/B]

Does anyone know what this error means? My back up keeps failing when I try to back up to my external hard disk which is connected to my airport extreme. I also got an error -36 when I tried to copy some files from my laptop to the external drive also.😕

It's a very generic read and write error in OSX. Can you access the drive at all? You may need to reformat the external...

AirDisk has been known to fail on large data transfers.
