B&W G3 Freeze on Boot-up

Hi,

I have a B&W G3 that keeps freezing on boot-up, it gets to the grey apple then spinning wheel, then a black mini screen folds out over half of the screen and nothing happens.

Specs are, G3 B&W 350MHz, OSX 10.4.6, 256MB RAM & 6GB HDD.
