B&W MM-1 speakers remote control... remap next/previous?

Hello!

I just purchased a pair of B&W MM-1 desktop speakers. They are wonderful, except one thing. The remote control next/previous button only works with iTunes. I never use iTunes - I use Spotify.

Does anyone know about a workaround for this?
