I think that if such an accessory comes it will be through a third party partnership with someone like Wacom. Also I would expect it to cost more than $39.

It's simply an updated remote control for the Apple TV that uses Bluetooth 4.0.

Smart covers will continue to be sold as is, same prices and SKU's.
