Ok so my wife and I just found out that we are expecting #2 next Feb.
We are starting to gather a list of baby names for both boys and girls since we choose not to find out what it will be because we like to be surprised. :)

So I thought I would come here for some help. Any suggestions is appreciated. Our first son's name is Logan.

njmac is nice for a boy or girl or

for girls, I like: Isabella, Lauren, Madeline, Sarah, Anna
for boys: Will, Ethan, Christopher, Wyatt, Shane

Congratulations!

Most people I know like to be surprised at the birth with the sex of their baby but why is it different than being surprised at the ultra sound? It is still a surprise, just earlier. Then you have all the other surprises at the birth like what the baby looks like, how big, who they resemble, hair or no hair etc...

Congratulations! :D

Ideas:
Bella, Isabella, or Grace for a girl.

:)

edit: ahhh... beaten to the Isabella.

and I agree with njmac with Shane. its a cool name.

edit2: also wanted to add in Mark for a boy.

haha, when I saw you added Grace I realized I forgot to add Grace! Nice names. Mark is my husbands name that's a great name too. :)

I really like Jeremy for a boys name and Larissa for a girl. Or you could do something bizarre and call your baby Cinnamon or some other spice/fruit/flower/vegetable.

Good luck with it all! :)

Skyler, Gavin, Alexandria (Alex)

The first two were names my wife and I were deciding last year. We ended up with Skyler (heroldshangout.com). The third name is what we would have called a girl. Also look at babynamewizard.com/namevoyager for a cool interactive name registry.

Check out babydvd.net to enhance your ultrasound.

Congratulations on the news! I like the more classic names, like Charles or William for a boy or Victoria or Caroline for a girl.

7 from seinfield :p

What happened to Soda?! I thought we all agreed on Soda? :D

Naming after family members or friends, if appropriate, is always a nice gesture. Or after a more distant figure in your life. A friend recently named their kid Auden after W.H. Auden.

Pesonally, I think Auden (the poet, not the kid) sucks (well, I 'spose the kid sucks, too). But you see where I'm wandering with this.

a couple names i've always really liked (w/ middle names)

Nicholas Anthony (my own)
Michael Andrew
Brandon Michael
Steven Tyler... lol j/k

girls.. i really only have 1 name that i really like
Danielle Nicole

Boys:
-Erik
-Eric
-Eriq (yes this is a spelling)
-Erick
-Erique
-Airrick

:)

What is your last name- that might help. Because some times names just don't flow right- like Joe Jones, Joe Buda (my spanish teachers son), and Dawson Teft.

I like Shane! Its my name. :)

I also like Mark and Chris for boy names.

Taryn, Lindsey, and Sarah for girl names.

Congrats on the baby! That's when Lori is due. We've settled on a girl name (but I'm not allowed to tell anybody...never know when family/close friends/random strangers will fall upon the thread and start trying to convince us that we should use something else).

For boys, we seem to be stuck. I really like Washington and William. She is partial to Alexander. For a middle name I am dead set on Tecumseh, which prompts dirty looks and "well, I guess he can have 4 names." You can borrow any of those if you would like.

Like CompUser said, what is your last name? It might help us give better suggestions. But, if you want to just pick from our plethora, I understand (once the last name comes out, so much privacy is gone...:()

For a girl may I suggest Ida. My better half's name. I am trying to get the name to be more popular so I can buy her a pencil or a ruler with the name on it without having to custom order it. Also the name of a great aunt of mine and a couple of her relatives, (grandmother and great aunt iirc) The name of a hot news chick in NYC and a famous Actress/Director in the 50's 60's (Ida Lupino)

I like Jayla, Penny, Alicia, Lexie and Alexandra for Girls.

Owen, Morgan, Caleb, Jay and Aaron for Boys.

Edit: Zara, too, for a Girl.

Congratulations on your second child achie25! :)

No offense to anyone with a name like this, but please don't name your child something along these lines- it can be quite damaging for them growing up. Kids can be cruel and will without mercy taunt and tease your poor child for having such a name.

It's a boy, name him Steve! :D

The ultimate name for a male child. ;) :D

hmmmm...if I was having some babies right now, these would be my top pick for GIRLIES:

Nola
Taylor
Cordelia
Carmen
Imogen

Top pick for BOYS:

Romeo (said this for years...I promise BEFORE Victoria and David Beckman named their son Romeo...I like Shakespearen names) :)
Phillip
Jeremy
Preston
Hunter (I think...actually I started becoming clueless after the 3rd one)!
