Is it possible, to add a „back“- Button to assistive Toch?

Background: I have a new XS max. Now when I am in iMessage or WhatsApp I want to quickly leave a message I am in to see all messages. Normally I use the back button on the top left corner or use a swipe from the left side.

But all that ist too far for my fingers. Now I am looking for a trick I can use with assistive touch.

Sure, I know the one handed controll, but even that is too far away then...

Hi,

you can try modifying your assistive touch in settings. You can customise the actions by choosing ‘app switcher’ in ‘custom actions’. Then, when you double tap assistive touch, the recent tabs will open.. it’s pretty helpful and easy.
detailed steps below:
Settings > accessibility > touch > assistive touch > custom actions

P.S: I hope I’m understandable
