Back Panel Scratched?

So today was the first time I dropped her and it landed flat down. Now all four corners have some kind of marking with the camera corner looking the worst.

Have any of you guys used scotch pads to sand scratches off of the back of your iPhone? Is this Kosher? If not would you recommend buying a new backing or something else.

Normally I wouldn't care about scratches which I don't really care about the ones on the back, I just care about the actual textured scratches near the camera lens that I can feel everytime I use it.

So today's lesson kiddies is to never take scotch brite to the back of an iPhone.

Now I have to replace the backing.

I have one, but took it off less than a week ago because all it was doing was capturing stuff inside of it and scratching the bezel.

Well after a drop and taking a scotch brite pad to it i think the warranty is pretty much hosed anyway.
Might as well go all out and paint the thing.
