After a painstaking few hours of putting my iPhone 3g back-together replacing the back, I switched it back on and the Home button doesn't work and I keep getting "no signal". I was having serious trouble getting the ribbon cable #3 back in.. in fact it took over half-an-hour. I'm just about to try again but wanted to know if there could be anything that I've missed which is causing this... also, the vibrator isn't working, but I think that the home button and signal issues are somehow related and this isn't.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Oh, and it wouldn't charge

I had the same issue back when I was tinkering with the 3G, it only seemed to happen when i powered the iPhone on before fully snapping the LCD back into the case.

So it worked fine when you put it all together?
