How the heck could you carry an iPhone with you on a run. That's crazy they are huge.

I used to take a shuffle with me but I hated the cords so much. I also used a Garmin 205 up until my Apple Watch. The 205 was more than enough for running or cycling.

Mine isn't - it's an SE. I did have a 6S+ and that was a bit on the large side but I carried it in a waist belt. I've continued to use it with my SE and to be honest I don't even notice it's there

I carry a Plus in a FlipBelt on every run, including marathons. Doesn't bother me at all, and I'd never go out on a run without a phone. (So sign me up for the AW v.3 with LTE!)

Managed 14+ miles with the AW and updated Nike+ app today. It worked really well. The double-tap pause worked fine. I'd still prefer a way for the buttons to engage pause (like they do with the Workout app), but this was ok today. Splits got uploaded to Nike, and RunGap was able to export to Garmin and Strava. Almost too good to be true...

I usually listen to music from my phone, but used the AW today so I could hear the Nike+ split times. I noticed that the volume of the Nike+ app seemed pretty loud compared to Apple Music (or Apple Music is pretty low compared to Nike+). Has anyone noticed anything similar? Garmin provides a way to control the volume level for audio prompts, but I haven't found that in the Nike+ app.

Those flip belts look like they'd ride up when you're running especially with something with some weight in it. Is that the case for you?

I tried running with a fuel belt a couple of times and that was a disaster. Would ride up like crazy.

As a result when I do marathon training we drive out ahead of time and make two bottle stashes and make sure we can hit the washrooms at the local university two times if needed as well.

I love running with the Bluetooth music option. Hearing the km splits are actually a bit annoying since it's every KM and don't really need them that often. Interrupts my music too much!

I have been running with my iPhone over 99% of the time since 2007. I have and use several different belts. Here is a pic I found from a couple of years ago and my favorite running belt (had 3 or 4 of this Nathan model). It stays put and even the added benefit of keeping my shorts in place (in case I didn't tie them tightly:D). It is great having $10, a wet wipe, paper towel and a place to put my keys. Also nice being able to take a pic, check location (in unfamiliar area), be prepared for an emergency, etc (had a lady break ankle on trail and I was only one).

The FlipBelt doesn't ride or or even move actually. I use the larger, zippered version now, but have a couple of the originals as well.

I keep my iPhone behind me, at the base of my back. I keep an ID and credit card in the zippered pocket, and my car key on the key hook. Depending on the length of the run, I'll carry GU or a Cliff bar. I don't carry water.

Patrick, how do you hydrate?

Well after 450 miles(10 weeks) of running with the AW2 and putting up with the wonkyness of the Nike+ running app my AW watch will become just my smart watch. Between slow downloads, to missing maps, lap pace sometimes and finally today it stopped at my 6.5 mile mark of a steady effort 8 mile tempo run. Just disappeared. Found it after my run in the workout circles. No record of the run on Nike. Well, to be fair, I started the run again and it reflected the last mile and 1/2.

Sorry to hear that. Similar thing happened to me once or twice. The Nike Run Club app is just too buggy. But as a person just trying to get into running, I'm finding the Nike training program very useful in motivavting me to go out for a walk/run session every day. Still walking more than running, but the distance I'm running has been gradually but steadily increasing. I hope we hear from you every once in a while, you've been a great inspiration for me.

You are very kind. Just take it EZ. Believe me, slow down, walk some, make it your play, it will become addictive. Just remember more/ faster is not always better. I think the AW and the Nike app will help people get motivated and become life time atheletes. Remember, there is no finish line.:) Nick

Tried the updated Nike app. That Sunday 3.1 mile thing is cute. Too bad you can't set a mileage goal that may triple+ the little circles:)
When I paused the app, it told me "paused" then advised it had "resumed" without input from me. This happened several times. Still wonky.
