Hi all, I've done a lot of searching but couldn't find a solid solution.
I have an iMac at home. I travel with a MBA. iCloud is set up on both of them and I have screen sharing enabled on the iMac. Both are running the latest version of Mavericks. I also have an Apple Airport Extreme.

When I'm at work and using my MBA, the iMac ALWAYS shows up on the sidebar under shared devices. However, I'm not able to use screen sharing or file sharing 100% of the time. Sometimes it works great for days. Sometimes it'll just not connect. Rebooting the MBA will maybe get it to work 20% of the time. Rebooting the iMac also sometimes seems to help but it's not 100% guaranteed.

I have VNC enabled on the iMac as well. I didn't want to forward port 5900 to the iMac however. When I did this on my PC computer, I noticed that a ton of connections were being made to that port (probably people scanning that port and trying to connect to it).

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get the screen sharing for BTMM to be more reliable? Thanks!
