Has there been some news I've missed about the Back to School 2017 Europe promo? I see that the last two or three years it started 2 weeks after the US promo, but it's coming up on 4 weeks after now, so I'm beginning to wonder if they've cancelled it. Have there been any rumors? All I've seen searching in English is an apparently-incorrect report on 9to5Mac from the 24th that the Europe promo is "imminent".

I couldn't find any details about the Back to School Europe dates for years prior to 2014 like exists for North America ( e.g. https://www.macrumors.com/2017/07/07/apple-back-to-school-dates-2017/ ) so I wasn't sure if the Back to School has been in Europe -every- year going back to when it started in the US, or is its record more spotty?

I've read that the promo starts the Tuesday August 8th on Germany and, probably, on the rest of Europe too.

By the way, anyone knows when does the promo ends? At least in the USA. first week of September? Thanks.

I'm really disappointed in Apple in this case. My Macbook Pro order went over 14 days and they are refusing to send me Beats without me returning my Macbook Pro. You would think they would be somehow flexible on this matter. My Macbook is a build to order that took longer time to ship too (512 gb). Plus this thing is not at all ecological for Apple, they are forcing us to send back a model, making it a refurbished model for them to sell for a lower price!

For Belgium: Switch/Easy-M started last week with their 10% discount for kids (12-17y => prove with personal ID) and students (18-2x => prove with student ID).

o_O I just went to the Switch shop to order the top-end iMac 27" and my discount was not accepted due to my request to swap the fusion drive by an SSD (or having a i7 7700K installed).
A BTO is not accepted in case you want the real top-end imac...:(

Sorry about that :/ They are seriously strict with this campaign, I had ordered my Macbook Pro three weeks before and I have to send it in for a new one to get the Beats. I don't want to so I won't get them

Switch is not a good store in my opinion, just order it online or in the Apple Store.

The tricky part is: this restriction is not mentioned in their online advertisement(s)

Once you enter the shop, start making your config together & discuss some +/-'s for an upgrade with them, you finally share your 10% voucher ... they refuse to accept it. They request the office manager to show the internal mail on restrictions (via his iPhone - hardly readable on a distance) and close the conversation.

I called the helpdesk 1hr later and they checked it... on an internal note. BTO is indeed mentioned as outside the discounts on that note, but it seems net to be visible (or 'forgotten') on the website.

Sorry, my dear Switch,
it is from customer point of view not acceptable.

Will probably do that tonight ;)
Disadvantage... it will be an extra €310 compared to my initial plan!

Hmm I was ordering my BTO iMac from Apple Online Store in the UK and I got 10% discount as well the Beats Solo Wireless. I paid £300 less plus £200 the value of Beats. If I would sell Beats I gain £500 in total!
