Hi, I am going to buy a 24inch imac before the back to school promo ends and get the free ipod touch but my concern is if Apple comes out with a new ipod touch before the promo ends, would I be able to get the new ipod touch for free, eventhough Apple's terms and conditions are to buy one of the followings:
iPod Family Product Description Rebate Amount Part Number Personalized Part Number
iPod nano 8GB Silver $199 MA980LL/A PA980LL/A
8GB Pink $199 MB453LL/A PB453LL/A
8GB Blue $199 MB249LL/A PB249LL/A
8GB Green $199 MB253LL/A PB253LL/A
8GB Black $199 MB261LL/A PB261LL/A
8GB Red $199 MB257LL/A PB257LL/A
iPod touch 8GB $299 MA623LL/B PA623LL/B
16GB $299 MA627LL/B PA627LL/B
32GB $299 MB376LL/A PB376LL/A

Also how was last year with the back to school promo? Did you guys get the new ipods for free or not?

thanks in advance.

no you would not be able to get the new touch free.
diff product=diff part numbers = no rebate.
and there is usually no issue with the rebates, just make sure you file for your rebate perfectly, with no errors.
good luck!

No, they did the same thing last year and when the ipod touch came out, it was exempt from the promo (I tried when I bought a macbook).

thanks for your replies, I guess I should not wait any longer, and get the imac and the touch. I was hoping for a different answer but i guess is not going to happen. Anyway, I will let you know how it goes with the new imac.
