I decided the other day that even though the S25U is a superb phone (as is the Galaxy Watch Ultra); I just prefer iPhone and iOS (and watchOS) for what I use them for; so sold the Android stuff and started to use my 16 Plus as my main device, and will get back to wearing an AWU2 when it lands with me later today

Fortunately I've already got Spigen screen protectors, case and numerous Ultimal straps for it from my last AWU2 (need to have it in a case due to the training I do, plus all the gardening, faffing with cars etc) - but wear it caseless when I'm out and about and not covered in detritus 😂

Gone for the natural titanium one this time round rather than the black; think it looks much nicer, plus it suits tan leather straps really well

Will update with some pics ASAP

Also dual wield the S25U and 16PM and rotate on a regular basis. I just got an AWU2 certified refurbished from Apple for $679 which I thought was a good deal. Titanium color and blue ocean strap. Watch is mint, you'd never know it was refurbished. Screen is perfect without any micro scratches. Every product I've ever bought from Apple Refurbished store has been flawless. I'll need to look at some other strap options.

I love the S25U paired with GW6 Classic but the AWU2 paired with my iPhone is also very nice. Last AW I had was the AW6. Really like live activities popping up on the watch. I have skinny wrists but the watch doesn't feel too big. Battery life is insane on this thing (I just use it as a normal watch and for notifications, no cellular use yet).

You sold the S25U or keeping it? Ecosystem is right up there with Apple for folks like me who only use phone + watch + earbuds.

I've sold the S25U and GWU on; bought the AWU2 from Amazon as it wasn't much more than what Apple Refurb UK wanted for theirs and it's same day delivery ;)

I've ordered a few different straps for it on Amazon today (leather and 'titanium') and I've also ordered a Nomad Rocky Point strap via eBay UK

Nice, hopefully you get a good watch. I think generally Amazon is OK for most people. Only issues I've heard of are people getting fake bands. But you already have some nice ones so non-issue for you!

The straps I've ordered are aftermarket, so not expensive etc. I've already got Ultimal straps in my office drawer (they're my preferred straps) and the Nomad strap is genuine as I've bought off that business reseller before on eBay UK

Never had any issues with Amazon UK to be fair

My AWU2 has landed. Fitted an ESR screen protector and case to it and will run one of my Ultimal straps for now. I've got all the colours bar black, swap and change them regularly and I usually colour code the face to them haha

Looks good! I decided to use the watch without a case or screen protector. The watch face at least should be very durable. I have a screen protector on my GW6 and it leaves a tiny space between it and the bezel and just makes it look off.

I'm someone who needs the case and screen protector; I use a lot of chalk when training and I'm in our gardens a lot, and faffing with my cars. So want the AWU2 protected.

Plus I've got OCD; so damaged gadgets really annoy me 😂

Looking good. 👍

Glad you are back wearing Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Do you usually like trail loops? Also thanks for the tip about cases bruv 👊 I appreciate it man. I finally feel more comfortable with wearing my Apple Watch and working on HAAS CNCs. The case protected my watch from being bumped into the spindle and the tools. I always have to deal with chips and coolant once a week 😂

Glad to see you return to AWU2. Love that you got silver, I bet the titanium silver milanese loop would have looked so good. That's the only regret with mine: going for the black w/ black loop instead of silver w/ silver loop; albeit I got mine for free (still walking to get it for free).

I prefer the material straps over any others; but have ordered a few from Amazon that land today, so will see how they look

Glad yours has been protected - cases are cheap; but do a good job!

See I'm not a fan of the Milanese strap at all to be fair; so went with the standard strap - not that I'll use it

Nice! 😊 Many ultra users here say that nomad straps especially rocky point are great for Apple Watch Ultra users.

Thank you, you are one of the best blokes that I remember from the Apple Watch case and screen protector thread. I also have a few shots of my Apple Watch in the case on machining days:

I've got a Rocky Point strap on its way to me. Had one previously and they're very good

There's a watch case / screen protector thread? Where?

I have this case I got from Amazon. You can hardly tell there's a case on the watch.

Why put a screen protector on sapphire crystal?
Been asked so many times and if you read above you'd see why

I've OCD and cannot cope with damaged gadgets. But also I train a lot, use a lot of chalk and use equipment that's unforgiving and would scratch / damage the watch in no time at all

I train grip a lot and the equipment isn't smooth / finished really, still quite rough and rugged etc

I also do stupid stuff like this

😂

Couple of Amazon straps landed today - they're not too bad to be honest. One link removed from the bracelet strap and the orange one just fits

Natural and yellow 👌🏼
I absolutely love that colour ! Fellow third-party and genuine band collector, and also a stylish titanium Apple Watch Ultra 2 user from the UK, @Lyusi , collected Nomad Rocky Points as well. 😂 He opted for black hardware ones on his natural titanium Apple Watch Ultra because Nomad sells the natural titanium ones for a higher price than the black hardware ones. Like, the black titanium ones are cheaper by 10 to 20 quid. 💷 It’s quite peculiar how the company sells hardware colours at different prices, and this strap is also limited to 44/45/46/49 mm Apple Watches only because it’s more durable and rugged than the sport band Nomad offers.

You’re right that is stupid 😂 RIP your back

Fortunately my backs as strong as iron; its my shoulders & neck that have bore the most niggles (I blame rugby in my youth)

Although that lump was 154kg; it's not as stupid as this video 😂

120kg stone with another 20kg taped to it; on the 3rd rep you see it nearly tip out of my hands 😑🤣
