The S25 Ultra is a pretty great phone. I have one as well and dual wield with a 16 Pro Max. Haven't tried the Galaxy Watch Ultra, but I've been tempted to.

Anything particular you didn't like about the Galaxy Watch Ultra?

I didn't think the health apps were as good. I use Hevy for training, but the monitoring apps (walking, steps etc) just weren't as accurate IMO

And as silly as it sounds, I missed having the unlock capability for my Macs etc

I absolutely love that colour ! Fellow third-party and genuine band collector, and also a stylish titanium Apple Watch Ultra 2 user from the UK, @Lyusi , collected Nomad Rocky Points as well. 😂 He opted for black hardware ones on his natural titanium Apple Watch Ultra because Nomad sells the natural titanium ones for a higher price than the black hardware ones. Like, the black titanium ones are cheaper by 10 to 20 quid. 💷 It’s quite peculiar how the company sells hardware colours at different prices, and this strap is also limited to 44/45/46/49 mm Apple Watches only because it’s more durable and rugged than the sport band Nomad offers.
Yes,I already have Blue,Yellow and Forest with black hardware and Storm with natural hardware! Honestly the strap with natural hardware looks a little bit better But the £35 difference made me buy the black ones…

Definitely bruv 👊 thanks for sharing about the nomad straps! OP got his in yellow with natural titanium. I recommend him to try out green and blue too.

The green one is a new colour btw, with a matching iPhone 16 case sold separately.

Fortunately my backs as strong as iron; its my shoulders & neck that have bore the most niggles (I blame rugby in my youth)

Although that lump was 154kg; it's not as stupid as this video 😂

120kg stone with another 20kg taped to it; on the 3rd rep you see it nearly tip out of my hands 😑🤣

You’re a beast!

A few new straps landed with me today

This 'titanium' one via Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/synsing-Titanium-Compatible-Titanium-Wristband/dp/B0DDJ7SZKY

Quite like this one as it's weightier than the other I received and it's a bit thicker/wider too; suits the watch better - 2 links removed to fit me, its a big strap so will probably fit anyone

Secondly; the Nomad Rocky Point yellow strap landed too ;)

Nice straps!

Is the link bracelet real titanium?
Was... Broken now unfortunately
Bruv you bench press these large stones with taped dumbbell weights without someone spotting you? I understand it’s a home gym set up in the garage but make sure to know what you are doing with bench presses.

But you should definitely try disc jockey or shot put as you can lift heavy rocks 🪨!!! Didn’t you play rugby before? I played flag football 🏈, a form of American football 🏈 that is less contact and more fun. I played last season at uni.

I competed in powerlifting from 2000 to 2015 and then 2016 to 2019 - bench PB was 202kg (paused, raw and drug free) - I've got a fair few years of 'knowing what I'm doing' ;)

Unfortunately due to health issues over the last few years all heavy lifting now is done; I'm lucky to be able to squat 100kg at times (my PB was 303.5kg)!

Just one of those things...

I do still play with some stones; but only the 'little' ones now... I don't want to run the risk of damaging myself any further, more so as I lost 5 stone in weight in under 6 months last year (36kg)!

And yes; starting playing rugby when I was 9 years old (1988) and then played through high school (grammar school), for my county (Lancashire) but stopped / retired when I was 20 (1999) as I broke 6 ribs in training over winter and getting tackled after that was not fun!

Oh that’s why so no more playing sports due to injury?

Did your gp 🧑‍⚕️ tell you that you can only do weightlifting up to a certain amount of kilos with these stone?

Stone lifting is still your hobby right?

How’s being back on the Apple Watch Ultra like? Do you miss the black titanium?

Hell no! 😂 I wouldn't talk to a doc about lifting! They're clueless...

I'm 46; been doing it a long time... Biggest stone I've lifted was a 202kg atlas stone to my knees, heaviest shouldered is that lump above at 154kg - all natural drug free and was 140kg bodyweight, not anymore!

I don't mess with them much now due to my ongoing health issues; but sometimes if I'm in the mood I'll have a play with some of the small stones I still have which are about 100kg - I just row them or lap them; don't shoulder them any more etc

And love being back with the AWU2 and no; really glad I went with natural titanium rather than black this time around. I feel that it suits the strap colours better, more neutral

So only lifting the rocks right? Yep sometimes GPs underestimate too much when it comes to weightlifting and how it affects your body. Even with heavy 100 kilos and heavier stones like that.

The ultra in natural titanium also shows up scratches less easily than the black titanium. On the black titanium it’s more obvious to see any chips or scratches on the casing.

Also not as many straps would have black lugs for Apple Watch Ultra 2 black titanium. Many of people with black tatty Apple Watch Ultra 2 said they wished the orange alpine loop (an original colour from the 1st generation Apple Watch Ultra) had black lugs and it would look bold. But the natural titanium lugs would not match that colour.

No. I do train with them every so often, but I just train normally now like I used to. But much lighter as my body cannot cope with the heavy weights any more due to the poor health issues I've had and still battling.

I have a full set up in my garage, powercube, plenty of plate weights, dumbbells up to 50kg and a lat pull down extension connected to the powercube...

I'm 109kg now at 6ft 4, I was 142kg at my heaviest... I've even started to train biceps properly 😂

And yes. The black AWU2 did show marks, mine was as new when I sold it, but I'd seen others where they'd scratched it etc..

The Ultimal straps I use have black lugs for the inserts, but velcro for the closing. So they work with all the AWUs really

My new Ultimal Urban Sports strap landed this evening. It's very nice, very well-made and IMO as good as the Nomad, if not better at 1/2 the price!

Your story of coming back to the Apple Watch Ultra after a few months of not wearing it is really inspiring! Especially since you’re an extreme hobbyist who lifts heavy weights and stones. You still managed to lose those kilos while training with those heavy weights 😂.

I’m encouraging my new Apple Watch Ultra users (first-time ultra users upgrading from regular Apple Watches) to read your story. I’m sure it’ll be helpful for them. I’m also sharing your story with @krezimax1975, @GrassBlade, and @3Rock , who recently upgraded to the new natural titanium Apple Watch Ultra 2, and one of them black titanium. I think they’ll find it interesting.

I like ultra users starting out to hear other perspectives from other users with the same watches. It can help them get better ideas and tips on how to make the most of the straps and features in watchOS.

I’ve heard a lot of black AWU2 users say that it scratches easily. But on the natural titanium ultra, it’s not as obvious. Just a heads up, make sure to wear the case when you’re handling stones, lifting bricks, fixing cars (even if it’s just an oil change or maintenance), or fixing the weight machine.

Way to go bruv. 👊 Since you came back to wearing Apple Watch Ultra 2 I invite you to join my activity challenge thread, we have various AWU users who are active and are runners, weightlifters, and other athletes in between. Check it out here: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...25.2454309/page-3?post=33860471#post-33860471

Cheers 👋

Unfortunately I didn't lose the weight through training etc; it was through ill health which I'm still battling a few issues...

I think my boy's trying to get its own back now after years of being beat up with rugby and then weightlifting haha 😂

Ohhh I see. So you don’t run or go jogging outside right?

Do you like the titanium case you just got or the black one?

You asked this already!
Actually he got a new ESR case photos are in the show off your Apple Watch.

Colour matched to his natural titanium ultra 2

So he has two cases that protect the Apple Watch Ultra.

I think the titanium one looks better.

Ah, ok, I see.

Btw, what color watch do you have now? I'm sure you've mentioned it but I can't remember.

I've always had black aluminum, never tried anything else. And cases I've gotten have been either dark color or transparent. Currently have a dark green case that I have to look closely to see it's green and not black.

Gold stainless steel is my Apple Watch colour.

I have a clear case but I only wear it when I have to use heavy duty power tools like CNCs, drill press and lathes.

Or doing gardening or lifting bricks. 🧱

Hell no 😂 I did my lifetime of running when I played rugby....

And both the ESR cases look well; they'll be paired with the straps that match the colour etc
So the black cases you’ll use them with straps with black hardware?

Many Apple Watch Ultra users who wear it for extreme sports and athletics also use it for cross country and running a lot.

Correct - so the Ultimal velcro straps etc, I'll use with the black case and the straps with the titanium hardware, with the titanium case etc

And when I don't need a case; I'll wear whichever strap I fancy at that time

Still need to find a decently made, heavy duty leather strap. The Amazon one I've sent back as it just felt cheap
