Like many I seemed to be having trouble with battery life after updating to ios 6.1.3 on my 4s. Several threads recommended back up and restore "as new" which I have done. I then clicked on "restore backup" thinking my photos apps ect would reload. I did this connected to my iMac with iTunes 11.0.4.
When I do this the phone retarts and goes through the set up menu (wifi password, Apple id, ect.

Can anyone help me get back my photos, apps, contacts, music and all the stuff that makes me love this phone.

Your iPhone data may have been saved save in backup files.
(Users/<Your user name>/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/)

So you can try "Restore from Backup" again and see what is the result.

Also, restoring "as new" mean restoring your iPhone and starting from scratch, because more often than not if you restore from a backup you'll be in the exact same situation as before, problems & all.

hi frnd :)
as you , u took backup by itune, its just restore ur message, contacts, call logs, notes, reminders, calender if u have and pics, also app if u transfer purchase its cant backup music, you have to sync it or take with any 3rd party tools before get format.
u have apple id m sure ,but you ever take backup on icloud its ask when you setup new. its also cant restore music.
icloud is best option for backup - don't' worry its secure and cant use without ur apple id authentication.

Thanks for your response. I stumbled upon my error. I mistakenly renamed my phone. After correcting that all my photos, apps, calenders ect reloaded.
I'm hopeful my battery life will improve now after this clean install of the ios. Thanks again for the help.
