So I just remembered we can't use iTunes anymore.

How do we back up our iphones (besides iCloud)?

how? what are you opening? iTunes doesn't even exist. Its apple music instead.

The program called iTunes, as it’s always been.

Are you talking about a Mac computer or Windows? Give us a bit more information.

mac computer. I told you, iTunes no longer exists.

I believe it’s now done through Finder in macOS 10.15+

I haven’t tried it myself as I use iCloud.

You can do it either through Finder by clicking on the iPhone icon in the left side pane of any Finder window or through the new Apple Music app.
