Loving watchOS3 so far, but my apps in the dock don't seem to be updating in the background. When I click the dock, it still takes them a few moments to update. I also have noticed that second party complications such as the score are not updating on my watch face unless I click to open them. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

I have verified that background app refresh is turned on on my phone and my watch.

i believe the apps have to be updated to support this feature. ESPN and CBS Sports were both updated yesterday and updated almost-instantly for me.

Yep - check that your apps have been updated since yesterday and say OS10 and Watch OS3 updated. Also, apps that rely on constant updates still have to live by apples updates and how often. I thought a developer told me 50 times a day now. My weather app has been updated and it updates the weather within a second which is great. Some sports apps will require you to update notification in order to get faster updates. :-(

Yeah, the docked apps will also still take priority with device memory. So you may still see some loading when opening apps that haven't been opened recently and aren't a part of the dock.

and docked apps update faster than complications, i think.

last night i was running a test of the updated ESPN complication and the CBS Sports app (not complication). The complication was still behind

ESPN complication will not update unless I open the app, or view ESPN in dock. Dock snapshot will not update unless opening the app.
