Background default resetting problem

My mac keeps defaulting its bacground to this :
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b63/aldonbaker/Picture1.png whenever i sign in or start up... its really weird. In my system preferences it is set to solid black so i don't know whats up... Help!!!!!😕

Have you tried repairing permissions with Disk Utility?

Open /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app, select your system drive partition in the list on the left side, and click Repair Permissions.

So if i repair permissions on all the drives.. will i lose any information thats on them? like any of my files

No. Repairing permissions doesn't affect data. It just changes who can access certain files on your hard drive.
