I noticed that after I updated my iPhone5 to the new io7, my lock screen and background wallpaper didn't resize to fit the screen. so when I re-selected my photo, it tells me to center and resize photo. I can center but it, but won't allow me to resize it much. Like it'll resize it only half of what it used to. So the picture is still 50% the size of the screen.

Also, is it just me or after all these years, Apple still doesn't allow you to type a persons name on the phone dialer and pull up the contact to dial from? Yet, it will allow you to add the phone number to a contact?

And one more thing... any way to adjust the transparency?

Is that from the numeric dialpad? I use Spotlight Search to spell names but I want to make sure I understand the question.

Yes. But to use another app which should've been included on the phone dialer screen is strange. I think windows mobile did that and even android.

How's about this, dial the first few digits and the dialer shows you all the phone numbers you have with those digits. Windows mobile did that.

Anyways, thanks. The spotlight can help. But swiping for spotlight, using the keyboard instead of the dialer screen then clicking on the name that spotlight opens, then clicking on the phone number seems like a long way to do the contacts from the dialer screen, then trying to swip to find the name you want. Seems still kinda long.

K, done ranting about that. Anybody know about the picture resize and transparancy question?

You can't adjust transparency.

The resizing issue might be caused by the parallax feature. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion > On.

^ what he said for photo resizing.

You can't adjust transparency but you can toggle on increased contrast to disable it right there in the accessibility menu.

Thanks. But that didn't help. Funny. The photo appears correctly on the wallpaper and brightness screen. And how that I reedited it, now it's blown up 50% larger and ugly. On that little picture too now.
