Backing out of texts closes app

This is happened to me about 30 times in the last three hours. When I'm in a thread and hit the back arrow it completely closes me out of the text app. Then when I click on text again I'm back in the thread and if I hit back and it kicks me out again. I'm in some loop and can't get out. I need to force shut it out. First time I have seen it.

Horrible. Anyone see it.

Have you reset your device? Hold both buttons (Sleep & Home) at the same time, release both when you see the apple on the black screen.

Many times, a reset can put things right again.

Also, which version of iOS 8 are you using?

Happened to me a number of times as well, though, I wouldn't call it "closing out." It's crashing.

Good call. Yeah crashing. Reset seems to be okay for now.
