Backing up 4.0 blobs well not on 4.0?

I asked muscle nerd on Twitter if it was possible to backup my 4.0 blobs well not on 4.0 since I have the new bootrom 3GS and can't jailbreak it yet I'm still on 3.1.3. He responded with a tweet that said with the firmware umbrella you don't have to be on 4.0 to back em up however I tried it and it just backed up my 3.1.3. Blobs again. Anyway know how to do it? I just wanna be ready for 4.0 when the new spirit comes out. But I don't want to goto 4.0 now cause I need to be jailbroken.

Look under the "Device/Version" drop down menu.

Make sure you have an updated version of TinyUmbrella as well. If you have an older version, it might not have 4.0 as an option.

Thanks for the reminder. I had umbrealla downloaded but forgot to run it! o.o
How can it now figure out our ECID? Didnt we have to find the ECID our self before and put it in?

it does it automatically for you. just hit the backup button.

I just said UI did it. Was wondering why phone doeesnt have to be in semi-DFU to find ECID now.

4.0 is likely not being signed anymore.

you might be too late, 4.0.1 just got released. so they may not be signing 4.0 anymore 🙁
